To keep everything clear and make sure our collaboration runs smoothly, please review the agreement below. Once you’ve read through it, complete the form at the end to confirm your participation.
Hunchback Gallery Artist Agreement
1. Introduction
This agreement outlines the terms between Hunchback Gallery and participating Artists regarding the exhibition and sale of original artwork for the group show Off The Wall.
2. Duration
The agreement is active from the time artwork is delivered until artwork is either sold or picked up (by January 4, 2026).
Delivery: Artists agree to deliver their works ready-to-display: for 2D/wall-mounted work, this means ready-to-hang (we prefer frame and wire). For 3D/sculptural work, artists must provide any supports their work requires in order to display properly and safely. Artists are also responsible for transporting their works safely to and from the Gallery.
Artists may deliver their work between November 16 and November 24. No appointment is needed if delivering during one of the times noted below; contact us to coordinate delivery outside of these options.
Thursdays - Sundays, 12-5pm
Mondays, 5-6pm
Closing + Pickup: Saturday, December 27: The Gallery will be open 12-6pm, with an informal closing 12-3pm. Artists can pick up between 3-6pm December 27, 12-6pm Saturday, January 3, 2026, or by appointment after January 3. The Gallery will be closed and not accepting appointments between December 28 and January 2.
3. Display + Exhibition
Off The Wall is going to operate a bit differently than a standard gallery exhibition. In this show, works on view will change as buyers take their purchases right “off the wall,” and at the discretion of Gallery personnel. With the intentionally-evolving format of the show, we hope to encourage repeat visits throughout the duration. As such, not all works will be displayed at all times - some will be stored - but the Gallery will aim to represent each Artist at all times as remaining inventory allows.
4. Promotion
Both the Gallery and Artists agree to promote Off The Wall through word of mouth, social media, and other marketing channels.
5. Sales
Hunchback Gallery will facilitate sales of works at the price identified by the Artist, retaining a 30% commission. The remaining 70% will be paid to the Artist within 30 days of sale.
6. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will be resolved through mediation.
7. Insurance and Liability
Hunchback Gallery carries general liability insurance for the space and will take all reasonable steps to protect artwork while in its possession.
8. Digital Signatures
Typed names and digital submissions are accepted as signatures for this agreement.
9. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
10. Acceptance
By completing and submitting the form below, the Artist acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this agreement.
