CALL FOR ART - OFF THE WALL

A curated holiday show of small works ready to take home.

November 28 – December 27, 2025

We are putting together a special holiday show featuring small, original works under 12" x 12".
The idea is simple: art that is easy to collect, gift, and take right off the wall.

We welcome paintings, prints, photography, sculpture, fiber, mixed media, and anything else that fits the size requirement and can be safely displayed. The goal is to showcase a wide variety of styles and give visitors a chance to support local artists with pieces they can take home the same day.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Submissions Close: November 10, 2025

  • Notification Sent By: November 15, 2025

  • Deliver Artwork(s) By: November 24, 2025

  • Exhibit On-View: November 28 – December 27, 2025

  • Opening Reception: 12 to 6 pm Saturday, November 29, 2025 (Small Business Saturday)

  • Closing + Pickup: Saturday, December 27, 2025. The gallery will be open 12 to 6 pm. Any remaining stock canbe retrieved then. If you prefer to wait until after the holidays, we can hold unsold pieces for pickup starting Saturday, January 4, 2026. The gallery will be closed from December 28 to January 3.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Email HunchbackGallery@gmail.com with the subject line “Off The Wall Submission” and your name.

Each invited artist may submit up to 12 small works. Files can be shared in any format (JPG, PNG, PDF, etc.). For files too large for email, links are welcome. Please be sure privacy settings allow us to view them.

This is not an open call. We are reaching out directly to artists whose work we value, admire, and appreciate as part of our creative community.

There is no fee to participate. All works must be under 12" x 12" including frames and ready to hang or display.

Additional Info

  • Artists invited to participate will be contacted by email following the submission deadline with notification of selection. That email will also request details about each piece (title, medium, sale price, etc.).

  • Yes. While we ask for artwork to arrive by the “deliver by” date, early drop-offs may be accommodated during regular gallery hours or by special arrangement with advance notice.

  • Hunchback Gallery will facilitate sales and retain 30% of the sale price for gallery services. The remaining 70% will be paid to the artist within 30 days of sale. Please set your sale prices accordingly.

  • Most of the show will be displayed on the walls. All pieces must be ready to hang when delivered. This means securely wired or fitted with hanging hardware that supports the weight of the piece.

    We have very limited space for free-standing sculpture, so we will only consider it if it can be safely mounted on the wall or displayed in a way that does not require extra floor space or special cases.

  • Yes, all work in this show must be for sale. Off The Wall is designed to help visitors find art they can collect or gift during the holidays, and we want to work with artists who are excited about that goal. Please price your work accordingly, keeping in mind that the gallery retains 30% of the sale price.

  • No, attendance is not mandatory. However, we hope you will share the show with your networks and, if possible, stop by either the opening or the closing reception.

  • At closing (December 27), any unsold work may be picked up between 3 and 6 pm. If you prefer to wait, we will hold unsold pieces for pickup beginning Saturday, January 4, 2026, since the gallery is closed December 28 through January 3.
